Our Ministries
AC Next Generation
When discipling families is at the heart of a church’s mission, investing in the next generation becomes one of the most strategic and life-giving opportunities we have to join in the disciple=making process.
At Asbury Church, we believe children and students are not simply the future of the church, they are a vital part of the church today. We see it as a privilege and a priority to help our families learn to “Love Jesus Most.”
Our children and teens have an incredible capacity to trust Jesus, follow Him, and grow as disciples, and it is our joy to walk alongside them as they become the leaders God is shaping them to be.
Our discipleship approach is shaped to provide age-appropriate learning experiences that connect with the same simple discipleship rhythms practiced throughout our church.
Our prayer for our Next Generation is simple: that every one of our children would grow up into Christ and be able to help us “Love Jesus Most and Disciple Families.”

AC Kids serves children from birth to 6th grade. On Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM, children birth through pre-K go directly to age-appropriate classrooms, while kids up to 6th grade participate in corporate worship with their church family.
Before the sermon, kids from Kindergarten to 3rd grade are dismissed to Children’s Worship, where they engage in activities designed specifically for their age and stage of development.
We also offer Core Groups and activities for all children on Wednesday evenings. Children are, again, divided into age-appropriate classes from birth to pre-K, Kindergarten to 3rd grade, and 4th - 6th grades, giving them the opportunity to learn Scripture, ask questions, and grow in their understanding of God’s Word.
We believe that our children are not too young to actively engage in the life and mission of our church. As our children grow, we look for opportunities, appropriate to their maturity, to involve them in the mission of the church through worship, service, and discipleship.

AC Students serves teens from 7th through 12th grades and exists to help students grow into genuine disciples of Jesus during some of the most formative years of their lives.
Our heart is to create an environment where students can build meaningful relationships, grow in their understanding of God’s Word, and learn what it looks like to follow Jesus in everyday life.
On Wednesday evenings, students gather to worship together and hear a message from our Student Leadership Team. Afterward, they break into Core Groups, where they study Scripture, ask questions, and grow through honest conversation and discipleship alongside their peers and leaders.
We believe that students thrive when they are actively involved in the life of the church. Because of this, AC Students provides opportunities for them to serve, lead, and connect, both within the church and throughout our community.
Our desire is to see students not only develop a strong faith of their own, but also discover the joy of engaging the disciple-making mission of the church.

At Asbury Church, our mission to disciple families and help people learn to love Jesus most extends beyond Sunday services.
One of the ways we live out that mission in our community is through Asbury Playschool.
Our Playschool serves families who need part-time childcare while creating a nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and prepare for Kindergarten. We see this ministry as a privilege and an opportunity to invest in the lives of families throughout our community. Every child entrusted to our care is deeply valued, and we want them to know their worth as a child created and loved by God.
Along with helping children develop socially, emotionally, and academically, we are open and intentional about pointing them toward Jesus. We hold nothing back about our desire to see every child learn to love Jesus most and follow Him joyfully.
The safety, health, and overall well-being of every child we serve is extremely important to us. Our team works hard to create a safe, caring, and engaging environment where children can thrive while families feel confident in the care their children receive.
Asbury Playschool meets Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM.
If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact our Play School Director, Kim Morgan, at 601-582-4686 or by email at asburyplayschool@gmail.com.

AC Groups
At Asbury Church, our small groups are called Core Groups. We believe that one of the most powerful ways we grow as disciples is by learning God’s Word together.
Our Core Groups are built around a shared learning experience where every member, regardless of age or stage of life, is encouraged to actively engage Scripture for themselves.
Core Groups exist to help us connect with one another and experience life-changing conversations around God’s Word. Each week, our entire church body reads the same passage of Scripture during personal time with the Lord. Then, on Sunday mornings, we hear a message rooted in that same passage.
Throughout the week, our Core Groups gather to discuss the Scripture together using questions designed to help us understand it more deeply and apply it to our lives.
Our goal is not simply to break down the sermon, but to study the Word together, listening to one another, learning from the text, and allowing God’s truth to shape our lives. This shared rhythm creates incredible unity across our church as every group is engaging the same passage of Scripture together.
Core Groups meet throughout our community. Because our campus space is limited, many of our groups gather in homes, creating a welcoming and relational environment where people can grow in faith and build meaningful connections with others in the church family.
